The best part about the products? Most of them can be used in more ways than just one. Continue reading for products that have never let me down. You’re welcome!
1. Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre
Not only a personal favorite of mine and the French, but you can also find this lightweight cream in most makeup artists kit. So, how is this perfect for those on the go? Aside from the moisturizing factor and keeping skin hydrated, the cream can also be used as a cleanser, makeup remover, primer, mask and even works great on hair to create a texturized finish. You can have best of both worlds- soft skin, textured hair and still be on time to work. It’s also Paraben- free. Bonus!
2. Magic Balm by Honest Beauty
Ok, so here’s the thing about this product- it really works like magic. It’s not only a balm for the lips, but I use this also use this under the eyes to give moisture before applying my concealer. When I’m rushing out the door I even add some on the my cheekbones for a dewy natural highlight finish. I learned this beauty tip from the ultimate Boss Lady Jessica Alba. I’ll even use it on my cuticles when they get dry. I can always count on this balm to do its magic.
3. Smashbox Brow Tech To Go
For a brow game so strong, I rely on this product to help keep my brows looking full and in place. On one end of the product, is a brow pencil and on the other end is a gel. If you’re like me and forget to add a coat of gel on your brows to keep them from straying then you’ll love this product. It’s a staple piece in my kit and it’s pretty great for touching up clients on set.
4. Go Smile, On The Go Teeth Whitening Pen
Well, the name says it all. If you don’t have time to head to the dentist for a teeth whitening session, try this pen for a pearly white smile. Super easy to use and it actually works. I also included options for sensitive teeth.
5. Ouai Haircare Rose and Body Oil
If you’ve been staying current with me here on the blog you probably noticed I have a thing for products with rose in them. I was super excited to give this a try. Sometimes being on the go means skipping a few beauty steps and body care is one of them. At least for me it is. After a shower I add this oil to my hair and I apply whatever is left over on my hands to my body. Did I mention it smells divine? You can definitely forego perfume.
6. Tatcha Aburatorigami Japanese Beauty Papers
Who knew blotting could be so glamorous! Instead of powdering your face, considering blotting it. By doing this your removing oils instead of piling on more product. With gold flakes in the paper, they are the crème de la crème of oil absorbing and won’t smudge or take off makeup. This is an essential to your beauty wardrobe. Especially for touching up throughout the day.
7. Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Face Sculpt & Highlight
I have gone through so much of this product over the years simply because I use this palette for almost everything. It’s meant to be used as a bronzer, highlighter and to chisel the cheekbones with. But I also use it as an eyeshadow. I love using the bronzer shade for my crease and the highlighter on the center of my eyelids. And if that’s not enough, I even use it to contour and highlight the neck and shoulders. You’ll never have to rummage through your products when all you need is this one. The packaging is also super chic!
8. Essie Quick-E Drying Drops
Lately I have been paying more attention to my nails. As a makeup artist it’s easy to neglect them because you’re constantly testing products, washing your hands and digging into your kit and I don’t always have the luxury of time to sit and get them done. So when I do find the time I throw on two light coats of nail polish and the drying drops over it and truly it accelerates the drying time. This product lives up to its name.
9. Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour
Usually when I’m in a hurry to get ready I can’t be bothered with the perfect winged eyeliner. Being on the go means being quick and sometimes a quick application does not equate to precision. So I skip to attempt the perfect winged liner and opt for a smudgy, diffused effect across my lash line. I just draw the product on as close as possible to my lash line then smudge it with my ring finger back and forth until it’s diffused. The result is a worn in makeup look which always looks effortless. The shades I often use are: Cocoa, Tuxedo, Steel, Sapphire, Plum and Burnished Bronze. This eye stick also sets quickly so make sure you blend fast!
10. Pixi By Petra Multi-Balm
One of the many things that I love about my job is that I come across products that surprise me all the time. Currently I’m loving this multi-use, cream to powder formula balm that I found at Target. You can use it on your face, lips and across your eyelids for a boost of color. I always get excited when I find these kind of gems that aren’t super pricey. I have them in the shades below.
11. Benefit Fakeup Concealer
A concealer that gets rid of dark circles and hydrates the under eyes- yes please! I am currently obsessed with this product and have been using this since they launched. This two in one twist up tube is great for when I’m traveling because my under eyes get dry on the plane or touching up throughout the day. I have shade 02 Light-Medium.
