7 Skincare Products for Hydration
To me, skincare is paramount. If you do not have a skincare regimen- now would be the time to start having one. Allow me to share with you 7 Skincare Products for hydration that are currently in my kit.I go to great lengths to find the right cleansers, serums and bouncy moisturizers, risking my complexion to the threat of irritation and breakouts, just so that I can find the best available and add into my kit. Why risk such perils, you ask? Because skincare is my jam and I take great pleasure in doing so. My skin is sensitive and a combination of dry all over and oily in the t-zone. When a new season rolls around, it’s time to dive back in and adjust your skincare routine accordingly. As we find ourselves approaching the end of winter here’s what I’ve been currently using to battle dry winter skin.
Kate Somerville Goat Milk Moisturizing Cleanser
A good cleanser is not to be underestimated. You may have all of the other components of your skincare regimen just right, but the wrong cleanser will squander your efforts. When your skin is brutally dry (which tends to happen in colder months), try using a cleanser that is moisturizing instead of one that strips your skin of natural oils. It’s great for dry, oil, normal, sensitive and combination skin.
By Terry Cellularose Hydradiance Mask
Revitalizing your skin’s glow during harsh winter months is a must. For a boost of radiance, you’ll need to find a face mask that will quench your dry skin with rich moisture. It leaves your skin moisturized looking and feeling plumped. Great for around the eye area to help smooth lines. When I’m prepping someones skin I leave this on for 10 min. If I’m using this on myself then I like to leave it on longer. Feel free to use it as a sleep mask for a more intense hydration. I love this mask for the light rose scent. I love anything with rose.
Revision SkinCare Hydrating Serum
I look for serums that are both effective anti-aging treatments and deeply nourishing. I also want my skin to feel clean after applying a serum and tightened, which makes this lightweight, oil-free formula ideal for the refreshed appearance I desire without skimping on hydration. It has Vitamin E and pomegranate extract for strong antioxidant benefits including Hyaluronate Acid for moisture. Serums are the first thing you want to apply before your moisturizer. I always gently pat serums into my skin and wait a moment before applying the next step.
Chantecaille Rose de Mai Face Oil
Another way to amp up your flush? A gentle facial massage to get circulation going. You can add a drop of this oil into your moisturizer, or use it after your serum. I sometimes add a drop into my foundation for a more dewy finish. Great when layered or worn alone, it’s versatility makes this oil a standout in my skincare regime. (I told you I love rose!)
Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Infusion de Rose Nourishing Cream
Again, rose! The subtle smell is the ultimate luxury and the texture, soft and supple. This cream leaves my skin feeling silky soft. A little bit of this goes a long way and I find that this cream will last you awhile. You can use it day or night. Currently it’s my go to face cream when getting a few clients red carpet ready.
Oribe Lip Balm
Aside from the uber chic gold packaging, this balm is one of my favorites for the way it moisturizes dry lips during the cold season. I’ve gone through so many lip balms and found that this one really leaves my lips moisturized and visibly plump. You can use this alone or as a base before applying lipstick.
I use this on freshly clean skin, to prep before makeup and to mist throughout the day to keep makeup looking fresh. Spray it on your beauty blender before using it add hydration back into the skin when touching up. It’s my “anywhere, anytime” beauty product.
